The Drake University Choir and Community Chorus will perform with the Des Moines Symphony Sunday at the Civic Center of Des Moines downtown, 221 Walnut St.
The performances will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22
The program will feature “Mahler’s Second Symphony.” The piece requires a large symphony and choir and takes approximately 90 minutes to perform.
“We are honored that we were invited by Maestro Joseph Guita to collaborate with the symphony in presenting this monumental work, which is not often performed because of the massive forces it requires,” said Amiee Beckmann-Collier, director of the Drake Choir and Community Chorus.
