Iowa experts will discuss the issue at the forum, which will begin at 3:45 p.m. in Drake University’s Levitt Hall in Old Main, 2507 University Ave.
Confirmed panelists include:
- Brad Clark, campaign director, One Iowa. Born and raised in Iowa, Clark graduated from Central College (Pella, Iowa) in 2003 with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. He has been active in LGBT issues since college and has served as executive director of Iowa Safe Schools and as outreach and advocacy director with the Matthew Shepard Foundation in Denver.
- Brad Sherman, founder, Purpose Ministries. Sherman currently serves as a board member for the Iowa Christian Alliance and Miracle Life Ministries and Choices Medical Clinic. He pastors Solid Rock Christian Church in Coralville, Iowa, and is a husband of more than 30 years and father of four children.
IowaPolitics.com Des Moines Bureau Chief Lynn Campbell will moderate the program, and questions will be accepted from audience members. The event later will be broadcast on the Mediacom Connections channel statewide and will be available for On Demand viewing on Mediacom Channel 1.
The forum is part of the “Cookies and Conversation” series presented by Drake University, IowaPolitics.com and Mediacom and Drake University. Wal-Mart and Mediacom are event sponsors.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and taping of the show will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking will be available in Drake lots at 26th Street and University Avenue and 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue.
