Graduates of Drake’s Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program are invited to come back to campus for a special luncheon on Wednesday, April 15. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Parents Hall in Olmsted Center. The keynote speaker will be C. Kenneth Meyer, the Thomas F. Sheehan distinguished professor of public administration. Cost is $15 and RSVPs are requested at 515-271-3147.

The event, which is open to Drake alumni and friends, will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the program at 7 p.m. in Parents Hall in Olmsted Center.

Plan to attend the All Greek All Blue Reunion on Saturday, April 25, from 4-8 p.m. at 32nd St. and Forest Ave. The reunion is held in conjunction with the 100th running of the Drake Relays. 

THURSDAY, JUNE 18 — Windy City Golf Outing

Mark your calendars NOW for the 15th Annual Windy City Golf Outing, which will be held on Thursday, June 18, at the Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington, Ill. 

A tentative schedule of events is listed below:
  • Registration Opens — 10 a.m.

  • Shotgun Start — 11:30 a.m.

  • Social Hour — 4:30 p.m.

  • Banquet and Raffle — 5:45 p.m.

  • Program and Awards — 6:30 p.m.

  • Auction — 7 p.m.
The cost for this year’s event is $140 by May 15 or $150 after May 15.

JUNE 24-26 – Volunteers needed for Des Moines Arts Festival

Spring is on the way and we are preparing to once again be a part of the Des Moines Arts Festival by working in the Pepsi tents. 

This year’s festival will take place June 26-28 in the Western Gateway Park area of Downtown Des Moines. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis, and we typically fill these shifts up very quickly. Listed below are the shift times that we have available:
  • Friday, June 26: 1:30-5 p.m., 4:30-8 p.m., and 7:30-10:30 p.m.                

  • Saturday, June 27: 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., 1-5 p.m., 4:30-8 p.m., and 7:30-10:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 28: 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and 1-5:30 p.m.
