The Drake University Brass Quintet will give a free concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, on the Jordan Stage in Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main, 2507 University Ave.
The quintet, which includes faculty members from Drake and Grinnell College, will feature music by Bach, Ewald, Cheetham, Shostakovich and Previn.
The quintet members are:
- Andrew Classesn, trumpet, director of Jazz Studies at Drake
- Grady McGrannahan, trombone, Drake assistant professor of music
- Michael Short, tuba, teaching artist at Drake
- Justin Brookens, trumpet, Drake senior
- Guinevere McIntyre, French horn, French horn instructor at Grinnell
