Jim Mitroy, senior lecturer in physics at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia, will present, “Positron Binding to Atoms and Molecules” on Tuesday, Feb. 12, as part of Drake University’s Science Colloquium Series.
The seminar, which is free and open to the public, will start at 5 p.m. in room 28 of Harvey Ingham Hall, 28th Street and Forest Avenue.
“The talk is especially relevant to physics, chemistry and biology given that positrons are becoming increasingly more important in medicine and material research,” said Maria Bohorquez, associate professor of chemistry and director of the Drake Undergraduate Science Collaboration Institute (DUSCI).
The talk was organized by the Department of Physics and Astronomy. For more information, send an e-mail to maria.bohorquez@drake.edu.
