Coach Davis to speak at Drake lunch on Sept. 12

The fall series of Drake University’s “Let’s DU Lunch” will kick off with a speech by Keno Davis, Drake’s new men’s basketball coach on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Davis served as the associate head coach and was named the head coach of the men’s basketball program in March. Davis started his coaching career at the University of Iowa as an undergraduate assistant, and coached at Southern Indiana and Southeast Missouri State.

“Let’s DU Lunch” is open to the public and sponsored by the Drake University Central Iowa Alumni Chapter and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

The fall series will continue on Wednesday, Oct. 3, with Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Nancy Sebring and conclude on Wednesday, Nov. 7, with Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Marsha Ternus, LW’77.

Cost is $15 per lunch or $36 for all three luncheon events. All luncheons will be held at the Polk County Convention Complex, 501 Grand Ave., and begin with networking at 11:30 a.m., following lunch and a speaker at 1 p.m. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating.
