Drake Law will host an open house for prospective students on Friday, Oct. 24, at 9 a.m.

Peter K. Yu, the Kern Family Chair in Intellectual Property Law and director of the Intellectual Property Law Center at Drake University Law School, will join U.N. Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights Farida Shaheed and other leading human rights experts in the "Patent Regimes and the Right to Science and Culture" workshop at Yale Law School on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Roxanne Conlin, LW’66, will be the featured speaker at the Judge James Grant Iowa Constitution Lecture Series at Drake Law School on Thursday, Oct. 23.

For three years (and counting), Drake students in the Agricultural Law Center have the rare opportunity to learn agricultural law in Cuba.

Since 1990, Drake’s teams have placed either first or second in the region – meaning a team has qualified to compete in the National Finals in New York City 19 out of 24 years, including a 2013 National Championship by the ABA Client Counseling team.

Third-year law student Andy Duffelmeyer appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday, Sept. 14. A portion of the show was dedicated to a roundtable discussion about national politics.

Global Practitioner in Residence Derek Wilson will be speaking at the Iowa International Center Dialogue Series, Tuesday, Oct. 7. The title of his talk will be, “Scotland: Going It Alone?”
