As part of Drake University’s mission of educating globally responsible citizens, Professors of Counseling Education, Dr. Bengu Erguner-Tekinalp and Dr. Wade Leuwerke, were recently awarded close to $8000 to assist in their enhancement of global learning. Dr. Erguner-Tekinalp and Dr. Leuwerke submitted a proposal that would draw upon educational technology to enhance Drake graduate students’ global awareness and knowledge through virtual engagement with graduate students at Turkish institutions and one visiting scholar from Turkey.
With support from the Principal Financial Group, the Center for International Programs and Services made the award. The award will support integration of quality global learning into the counseling curriculum and the Drake community.
