Education Leadership Professor Appointed to State of Iowa Administrator Evaluation Task Force

Dr. Thomas Buckmiller, professor of Education Leadership in the Drake University School of Education, was appointed to the State of Iowa Administrator Evaluation Task Force. Last spring, the senate passed legislation calling for the creation of a Statewide Educator Evaluation Task Force. According to the Iowa Department of Education, the purpose of this task force is to develop a statewide system for teacher and administrator evaluations including a tiered evaluation system. The work will be split into two groups, the Administrator Evaluation Task Force and the Teacher Evaluation Task Force.
