Drake University honors students, faculty and staff for their contribution to Experiential Learning. A showcase and dinner was held on Thursday, April 19 in Parents Hall. Among the award recipients was School of Education professor, Dr. Sally Beisser. Dr. Beisser received the Drake University Experiential Learning Faculty Award for her Belize Service-Learning trip. Dr. Sally Beisser and Dr. Shelley Fairbairn spent their spring break in Belize with a team of undergraduate students, graduate students and an OT staff member. They volunteered in Holy Cross Primary School where most of the students lack electricity, running water, and sanitation.
