Thomas Rosburg's focus is in prairie restoration and conservation. He leads the Drake University Prairie Rescue and Restoration program; through it, he works with students on private land and helps owners restore and maintain natural prairie areas. Rosburg is also extremely knowledgeable about plant life, especially plants native to Iowa. He is an expert on ecosystems services and is well versed in clean-air and clean water initiatives. Outside of work, he farms part-time and maintains a strong interest in sustainable agriculture. His nature photography has appeared in many magazines, books, and calendars.
