Amy Letter derives her expertise in fiction and creative writing as a practitioner whose stories have appeared in national magazines as well as in gallery spaces. She is interested in the combination of new media—like video and graphic design—with writing. Letter is also interested in the relationship between fiction and non-fiction writing, between fiction and brain science, and between literary symbolism and our responses to objects and events in the real world. In addition to teaching, Letter is the faculty advisor for the Creative Writing Club, a student group, and is involved with the annual Writers and Critics series.
