Melisa Klimaszewski is Drake's resident expert on Victorian/19th century British literature. She is particularly interested in Charles Dickens and Wilkie Collins, and she has edited a number of their works in addition to writing books about them. Klimaszewski is also well versed in South African literature; in fact, she leads a travel seminar and takes students to South Africa to study race relations and storytelling.. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the Coalition of Black Students and is an active member of the NAACP.
