Professors Mark Kende and Jerry Foxhoven each served as a panelist for Constitution Day activities. Kende participated at Iowa State as a panelist for "Genes, Race, Free Speech, Same-Sex Marriage and the U.S. Supreme Court." Foxhoven was a panelist for a webinar sponsored by the Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) and the Iowa Department of Education. The webinar was titled, "The Constitution – The Words We Live By."

Richard H. Pildes to present 2013 Constitution Day Lecture

Pildes, Sudler Family Professor of Constitutional Law at New York University School of Law, will deliver a lecture on “The Fundamental Transformation in the Law and Practice of Modern Warfare” at 3 p.m. in the Sussman Theater of the Olmsted Center at Drake University. Des Moines attorney Chip Lowe has recently been hired to lead a Transactional and Nonprofits Clinic for Drake Law School. Students enrolled in this clinic will provide comprehensive legal services to entrepreneurs intending to start or already operating a for-profit or non-profit organization.
