Drake University students claimed seven awards in a magazine contest conducted by the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. Drake Magazine grabbed the title of best student magazine in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Region 7 Mark of Excellence Awards announced Monday. Six journalism courses were invited to present their service-learning success stories on Thursday, April 19, at Drake University’s first Experiential Learning Showcase. The showcase, which included 19 entries, was held in the Olmsted Center.
