Drake Magazine grabbed the title of best student magazine in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Region 7 Mark of Excellence Awards announced Monday. SJMC students celebrated at Experiential Learning Showcase
Six journalism courses were invited to present their service-learning success stories on Thursday, April 19, at Drake University’s first Experiential Learning Showcase. Drake University magazine majors travel to New York City this week on a super-charged networking trip. Professor Jeff Inman (@magstudies) has arranged visits to 11 different magazine offices. Also on the itinerary: an alumni mixer, a visit to the WTC Memorial, and, of course, Times Square.
