Drake University’s Rho Chi Chapter has been awarded the 2013 Chapter Achievement Award, as announced during the Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Pharmacists Association in Los Angeles, March 1-4, 2013. The Chapter Achievement Award recognizes the full scope of chapter activities as documented in the Annual Chapter Report. Chapter reports are comprehensive in nature, describing the breadth of activities and accomplishments by the chapter over the preceding twelve months. The report includes the following elements that allow the Chapter Awards Committee to evaluate the chapter’s objectives, plans, and accomplishments:
- Introduction – a statement identifying the rationale of chapter activities as they relate to the overall mission of the Rho Chi Society;
- History of Ongoing Activities – a description of ongoing activities and how they have evolved, progressed, or matured during the preceding twelve months;
- New Activities – a description of new initiatives, programs, or activities implemented during this program year;
- Reflections – to what extent did the chapter’s activities add value to the member’s Rho Chi experience.
The Chapter also tied for the 2013 Most Improved Chapter, that recognizes chapters who have been relatively inactive in past years, but current students/advisors have made great strides to increase the activities/projects of the chapter.
