On May 5th, Drake University Head Start held the last All Staff Training for the 2009-2010 program year at the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge. The keynote speaker was Superintendent Greg Robinson of the Urbandale Schools, who spoke about his experiences in the educational system. Crystal McCleary of the Drake University Head Start Policy Council joined the group as they recognized staff. Among those recognized included Cheryl Rausch, Amber McCrady and Keeli Comito on the completion of their CDA (Child Development Associate) certification.The following Drake University Head Start staff were recognized for their years of service:
· 5 Years: Kimberly DeJoode, Emily Gates, Amy Houser, Leslie Merriman
· 10 Years: Karen Mendenhall, Mary Middleton, Liz Young
· 15 Years: Grace Higdon, Jennifer Williams
· 20 Years: Claudia Murphy
