Drake students will have the opportunity to learn more about the next summer seminar in Uganda at the final informational session on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
The session will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in room 204 of Aliber Hall, 2847 University Ave.
The course, Sustainable Development in Uganda, is a three-week, six-credit course that incorporates in-class meetings starting in the spring semester. The next trip to Uganda will take place between mid-May to the first week in June.
The seminar qualifies as a business, history and honors class, and fulfills engaged citizen and multicultural course requirements. It will cover topics including human rights, democracy, entrepreneurship, education, tourism, health care, business practices and sustainable development.
The course has been offered at Drake since 2007. Sixteen students participated in the seminar last summer. Read about their experiences online at http://www.mubs-drake-seminar.blogspot.com.
