Drake University’s International Film Series will conclude with a screening of “Life Show” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The Chinese film with English subtitles will be shown in room 101 of Meredith Hall, 2805 University Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
“Life Show” is the final film in the series showcasing Chinese films that were selected by Peiqin Zhou, a visiting Fulbright scholar from Nanjing University in China. Zhou, an associate professor of sociology at Nanjing, is spending this year teaching courses at Drake and will introduce the film.
The show tells the story of a beautiful, single woman who runs a restaurant in inland China, delving into her battle to understand the rapid changes affecting society around her.
