The Drake University School of Education is pleased to present guest speaker, Dr. Lisa Dieker. Lisa Dieker will be here February 10 from 9:00 – 3:30 in the Cowles Library Reading Room on Drake University’s campus. Dr. Dieker is a Professor in the Department of Child, Family, and Community Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She will present Effective Practices in Co-Teaching and Inclusion, which will outline effective collaborative strategies for collaboration, co-teaching and inclusion.
Dr. Dieker has been awarded the honor of Pegasus Professor, the highest honor given to faculty in teaching, research and service at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. She is one of 40 selected for this distinction in the history of the campus. From 2006-present, Dr. Dieker has been the Lockheed Martin Eminent Scholar Chair-Director of the Lockheed Martin/University of Central Florida Mathematics and Science Academy, managing a $2.5M Endowment that supports creating K-8 teacher leaders and 6-12 career changers in science and mathematics.
The cost of this speaking engagement is $50 and includes lunch and parking. The first 75 registrants will receive a free book, 20 Tools for the Collaborative Classroom.
