Surprise your special someone this Valentine’s Day with a serenade and roses from the Drake University Choir.
Students will be personally delivering Singing Valentines throughout the Des Moines area on Feb. 14 to raise money for their 2012 European Tour. You can surprise your Valentine anywhere: at home, work or even at a romantic dinner.
“We love surprising people with Singing Valentines throughout the Des Moines area,” says Aimee Beckmann-Collier, director of choral activities. “We are using no University funds for our trip, so the support of the community is highly appreciated.”
Orders must be placed by Feb. 8 via the Drake Music Department’s Singing Valentine webpage. Delivery is available in the Des Moines area, including West Des Moines, Clive, Johnston, Windsor Heights and Urbandale between 9 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. Deliveries to Ankeny and Waukee will only be available after 5 p.m.
The Choir offers three different packages to choose from:
– True Romance ($25): A song and one rose.
– Cupid’s Favorite ($40): A song and six roses.
– Hopeless Romantic ($60): A song and a dozen roses.
