Many Nyemaster attorneys are proud Drake alumni. Members of the firm have served on the Drake Law School Board of Counselors, helping guide and support the school’s continued growth and impact. In addition, Nyemaster attorneys regularly serve as adjunct professors and lecturers, providing real-world legal experience and perspective to Drake students.
As presenting sponsor of this year’s Supreme Court Week, Nyemaster helps make possible one of Drake Law’s signature traditions by bringing together students, alumni, judges and other community members to celebrate the judiciary and the rule of law. The firm also sponsors the G.R. Neumann Memorial Award, presented at the Supreme Court Banquet. Established in memory of G.R. “Rick” Neumann, Jr., JD’76, the award recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional achievement in corporate and transactional law, honoring the knowledge, professionalism and practical skills essential to success in a transactional practice.
Nyemaster’s strong connection to Drake Law is also reflected in the accomplishments of its attorneys. Robert Andeweg, JD’87, a shareholder at Nyemaster, will receive the Distinguished Public Service Award at this year’s banquet in recognition of his exemplary service to the community throughout his career.
