Drake University Law School will host a special installment of the Dean’s Speaker Series on Wednesday, October 23, at 3:00 p.m. in Cartwright Hall. The program, titled “Leadership and Civility in the Legal Profession,” will feature a fireside chat and Q&A with Dean Roscoe Jones Jr. and Associate Dean Anthony Gaughan.
The discussion will include three distinguished guests who have demonstrated leadership and public service at the highest levels: Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, William “Renn” Gade, Deputy General Counsel for Intelligence and Security at the U.S. Department of Defense, and Dennis “Denny” Taylor, former Kansas Secretary of Administration and international governance expert.

“At the Drake University Law School, our mission is to prepare future lawyers who will lead with integrity, empathy, and professionalism and promote justice,” said Dean Roscoe Jones, Jr. “This conversation on leadership and civility highlights an extraordinary group of public servants whose distinguished careers exemplify those core values and remind us of the enduring power of law in service to others. Through this series, we shine a light on the power of ethical, servant leadership to strengthen our democracy and elevate the profession.”

A reception will follow at 4:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP here.
