
Drake University Law School will host the Honorable Holly Thomas, U.S. Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, for a special fireside chat on September 8. The event is free and open to the public.
Judge Thomas brings a breadth of substantive experience to the bench, with a distinguished career that has focused on some of the nation’s most important constitutional rights and legal protections. Her work has advanced issues including the right to vote, the right to marry, equal employment, housing and educational opportunities, protections for pregnant people, and advocacy on behalf of service members.
The program will feature a conversational Q&A format, moderated by Drake Law professor and director of the Constitutional Law Center, Mark Kende, and Drake Law Dean Roscoe Jones, Jr.
