Drake Mag wins Pacemaker
Drake Magazine was one of 14 student magazines named as winners of the Associated College Press prestigious Pacemaker during an awards ceremony at the the Fall National College Media Convention.
“The Pacemaker is the association’s preeminent award,” executive director Laura Widmer said. “ACP is honored to recognize the best of the best.”
On the individual side, Sarah Jamil won honorable mention for feature story.
Maddie Kruse won honorable mention for Magazine Page/Spread.

Scholarship opportunities
Students majoring in journalism or mass communication can apply for a Kappa Tau Alpha scholarship.
To apply, send letter of reference and 500-word essay to kappataualpha@missouri.edu by Feb. 1.
The essay should discuss how the Kappa Tau Alpha scholarship will benefit you, including relevant aspects of financial need or status as a first-generation college student. Include details about your career goals in journalism and mass communication, and explain how they fit with KTA’s focus on Knowledge, Truth and Accuracy.
