Dwight D. Opperman Distinguished Professor of Law, Natalie Lynner, was elected as an Academic Fellow for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She was the only academic fellow in the country to be elected at the 2024 fall meeting.
ACTEC is an exclusive group of lawyers and academics who are peer-elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, expertise, and experience as trust and estate counselors. Fellows specialize in the fields of trust and estate law, tax law, estate planning and other related legal specialties by speaking, writing, teaching and participating in local, state and national bar association activities. They are committed to maintaining excellence in the trust and estate legal field and to continually improving the practice of trust and estate law.
Professor Lynner’s election to ACTEC is a significant professional milestone, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the field of trust and estate planning and her academic leadership. Her election underscores her expertise, not only as a professor but also as a thought leader and legal educator.
“Drake joins an elite list of about 50 law schools with an Academic Fellow on ACTEC,” said Professor Lynner. “It is wonderful to bring Drake Law School back to such a prominent and influential organization.”
