DBS meets tonight
Drake Broadcasting System is having its first general member meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 8 p.m. in the DBS lounge. We will be discussing our first live show, doing some introductions, touring the studio, and informing new members all about DBS.
Download your mobile Drake ID
Drake is switching to mobile IDs. The first step in getting a mobile Drake ID is to submit a photo – which can be done at this link. Please note that cardholders DO need to know their Drake login, and have Microsoft Authenticator set up to work through this process. Photos need to be under 600KB to be approved. Cropping a photo to be just head and shoulders often helps reduce file size.
Once photos have been approved, cardholders will get an email to their Drake email account with instructions on how to add the mobile ID to their devices – please note that approval is not instant.

Suicide Awareness Walk
The Annual Suicide Awareness Walk at Drake University is Saturday, September 21st, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Drake Stadium. This event will invite numerous local mental health organizations that will table alongside the track to provide further resources to students. In addition, the walk will host two speakers who have personally been impacted by suicide and wish to share their stories to inspire advocacy in others. Overall, the event will be highly interactive with opportunities for the attendees to receive a printed t-shirt from Planet Pluto, self-care bags, and a colored bead necklace that corresponds with their reason for walking.
