Sign up for New York Field Trip
This April the Drake SJMC will offer up another edition of the New York Field Trip, a five-day barnstorming of both NYC’s media staples and its newbie brands just for SJMC students. In the past, the trip has visited places like Cosmopolitan, NBC News, Edelman, New York magazine and The New York Times.
There will also be opportunities to network with alumni and explore the city. The trip runs April 3-7 and will cost folks about $1,200 for hotel, airfare, and other expenses (we’ll know more as things get closer). Drake SJMC grad and KCCI-TV news director Allison Smith has been named News Director of the Year by Broadcasting and Cable.
She will be profiled in the December issue of B+C Multichannel News.
