Try your hand On Painted Street
The application to run Drake University’s student-led Instagram account @OnPaintedStreet this fall is now open.
What is OnPaintedStreet? Each week, a different current Drake student takes over the account to show off the lived Drake experience.
Why is it important? Future Bulldogs look to this account so they can see the Drake experience through the lens of a current student. The content is also used on the www.drake.edu homepage, shared across social media platforms, and used in admission materials.
Who should apply? Any current Drake undergraduate student who has a great story to tell and would enjoy this experience.

Fall internship opportunities appearing
Opportunities are developing for fall internships and other professional activities. Keep an eye on the SJMC’s Drake Media Gigs for the latest.
Over the summer, Drake Career Services has transitioned to a new site for job postings and on-campus interviews. See https://wwww.drake.edu/sjmc/about/currentstudents/jobs/ for updated instructions on how to access the new system, Handshake; create a profile and upload your materials, and search and apply for jobs.
Drake student services office moves
The University’s student services office (the office that provides parking passes and Drake IDs, as well as other services) has been forced by summer flooding out of the basement of Carnegie Hall. The office has relocated temporarily to the lower level of Hubbell Dining Hall next to the C-Store.
