Annual JMC Days are here!

JMC Days, the annual celebration of all things JMC, will be held this week, Nov. 14-18. There will be treats all week in the Meredith back lobby and events including…

Professional Headshots will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Students: If you currently have an internship, or did this summer in Des Moines, please invite your internship supervisor or someone you worked with to come to the mixer at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Meredith back lobby.

Monday, Nov. 14:

  • Mock interviews during the day (See internship coordinator Carlyn Crowe for details.)
  • Student Media Expo 6-8 p.m. with food in Meredith Hall: This is an open house for all student publications and majors. SJMC students will showcase publications and projects. Included will be “behind the scenes” tours of the Times-Delphic (as it goes to print), the TV studio, 94.1 The Dog and pin ups for Drake Magazine, DUiN and Drake Political Review. Visitors can also try their hands at the microphone and cameras. Meet in Mer. 104 and 124B.

Sign up for SJMC networking bus trip to Minneapolis

The SJMC’s annual student bus trip will visit Minneapolis for agency visits and networking on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. The schedule tentatively includes stops at the Olson and Space 150 agencies, along with alumni networking and a gathering with prospective students, professional visit and exploration at the Mall of America.
