Singers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join the Drake University/Community Chorus as the group begins rehearsing for its fall season. The chorus, which is open to all interested singers without audition, will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, Aug. 30, for the group’s November 20 performance of music by Mozart, Brahms, and contemporary composers. The choir rehearses each Tuesday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Harmon Fine Arts Center, 2505 Carpenter Ave., under the direction of Aimee Beckmann-Collier, director of choral studies at Drake University. There is no fee for membership, although all singers must purchase their own music. Participants are asked to purchase their music at the Drake University Bookstore and bring it with them, along with a pencil, to rehearsal. The bookstore is located in Drake’s Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave., as of Monday, Aug. 8. For further information, please contact Aimee Beckmann-Collier at aimee.beckmann-collier@drake.edu, 271-2841 or check our website (www.drake.edu/music/)
