Educators are on the front line of children’s mental health. Whether services are provided at school, or the school refers the family to another agency for help, making sure a child’s mental health needs are met can be critical to educating the child. Panelist will pay particular attention to important issues such as confidentiality, prescription medications, and the role of special education.
A panel of experts will discuss Reading, Writing, and Prescription Medication: The Challenge of Meeting the Needs of Children with Mental Health Issues in Schools. This event is part of the Middleton Lecture Series scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Neal and Bea Smith Legal Clinic.
