Extension Education staff help prepare meals at Meals for the Heartland event.

Staff members in the School of Education Extension Education department volunteered during the Meals from the Heartland 2014 Annual Hunger Fight.  This annual event packages meals to alleviate hunger of malnourished or food insecure people.  Nearly 15,000 volunteers helped package 4.3 million meals.  Kendra Colbert, Extension Education staff member stated, “I really enjoyed knowing how this program works and how a simple packet can feed 6-10 people. Amazing!”
