Link baits, new media rules, audience engagement, editors who don’t edit, and weathering instability—it’s all part of our evolving media landscape. But where do we all fit in? Two Drake magazine graduates will help put the pattern pieces together as part of the annual visiting professional event sponsored by the E.T. Meredith Center for Magazine Studies.
Tanner Stransky (’05), senior editor at HBO Digital & Social Media, and Rachel DeSchepper (’06), director of digital content at AllYou.com, will visit classes and meet with students and faculty February 18-21.
The highlight of their visit will be a presentation on “The 8 Truths of Journalism Today: Surviving in a Constantly Changing Media Environment,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 19 in the Cowles Library Reading Room.
