Surprise your special someone this Valentine’s Day with a serenade and roses from the Drake University Choir. Students will personally deliver Singing Valentines throughout the Des Moines area on Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. to raise money for the choir’s international tours and special events.
“The Drake Choir members sing fabulously and will make this Valentine’s Day a memorable one for friends, relatives, and co-workers,” says Aimee Beckmann-Collier, director of choral studies and professor of conducting at Drake University. “While you’re scoring brownie points with those you care about, you’ll be helping the Drake Choir to raise the funds needed to perform at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City—one of America’s most prestigious venues.”
The Drake Choir’s Singing Valentines is an annual fundraising project. Orders must be placed by Feb. 8 via www.drake.edu/valentines or by calling 271-3024. Delivery is available in the Des Moines metropolitan area, including West Des Moines, Clive, Johnston, Windsor Heights, and Urbandale.
Deliveries to Ankeny, Altoona, Norwalk, and Waukee will only be available after 5 p.m.
