Julie Stackhouse, senior vice president and managing officer of banking supervision, credit, community development, and learning innovation for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, will deliver the Financial Executives International (FEI) and Drake School of Accounting’s annual lecture on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in Sheslow Auditorium, 2507 University Ave. Stackhouse’s lecture, “After the Financial Crisis and Great Recession: A Current Perspective,” is free and open to the public.
Stackhouse graduated from Drake University in 1980 with a degree in finance from the College of Business and Public Administration. During her lecture, Stackhouse will discuss the economic recovery that the U.S. has undergone from the Great Recession, the cause of the recession, and the lessons learned from the experience.
The FEI/Drake School of Accounting Lecture is an annual event hosted and sponsored by the Iowa chapter of the FEI in partnership with Drake University’s College of Business and Public Administration. This lecture links the academic and professional business communities in Des Moines and allows students to connect with experienced professionals in the area.
