CPHS dean published in Peer Review

Raylene Rospond, dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, was recently published in Peer Review.

Her article, “Integrating Pharmacy and the Health Sciences with a Liberal Education,” discusses the value of incorporating elements of a well-rounded liberal education into a professional program like pharmacy. She compares mission statements from Drake University and the Drake College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to show the aligned values. Rospond ends the article with a discussion of how diverse educational offerings and co-curricular opportunities make practitioners engaged and well rounded.

Peer Review is a quarterly publication covering emerging trends and key debates in undergraduate liberal education. Rospond’s article appeared in the spring 2012 edition.
