Raylene Rospond, dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, was recently published in Peer Review.
Her article, “Integrating Pharmacy and the Health Sciences with a Liberal Education,” discusses the value of incorporating elements of a well-rounded liberal education into a professional program like pharmacy. She compares mission statements from Drake University and the Drake College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to show the aligned values. Rospond ends the article with a discussion of how diverse educational offerings and co-curricular opportunities make practitioners engaged and well rounded.
