Drake breaks ground for new Cline Atrium

Drake broke ground on May 21 and began construction on the new Morgan E. Cline Atrium for Pharmacy and Science.

The facility is funded through a $3 million gift from Morgan E. Cline, PH’53. When completed, the atrium will allow for new faculty offices and will provide additional meeting places for students, faculty, and staff. This will be the second Drake building named in honor of
Cline, one of the founders of Cline, Davis & Mann, a New York
advertising agency specializing in pharmaceuticals.

Gifts from Hy-Vee and the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust are also helping to fund the Atrium.

This gifts are  part of the distinctlyDrake campaign that was launched on Oct. 1, 2010. The campaign is dedicated to driving the University to its place as one of the nation’s best institutions of higher learning. To date, the campaign has exceeded $100 million with a goal of $200 million.
