Jen Hogan, assistant director of study abroad, has been selected as an Institute Scholar at the “Institute at the Institute” conference to be held in July. Hosted by The Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University, the conference is designed to bring scholars together to discuss critical topics in the field of international education.
Hogan is one of 11 Institute Scholars selected for the first annual conference. Each meeting will cover a different topic important to the international education field. This year’s topic is funding education abroad. During the conference, scholars will discuss the topic and create a white paper or guide for the benefit of the field. The organizers of the event also hope it will be a meeting place for young, promising scholars.
Hogan coordinates study abroad programs for Drake University, advises students on and promotes study abroad on and off campus. She also teaches in the world languages and cultures department as an adjunct professor at Drake.
