Drake University Athletics recently announced the addition of eight new members and a new Chair to the Bulldog Club Board of Directors, bringing the total to 27 on the Board for 2011-12.
The members of the Board represent the Bulldog Club membership in fulfilling the mission and vision of the club: to serve as ambassadors of Drake Athletics to the public; provide leadership in financial support to Drake Athletics; and assist in the recruitment, cultivation and stewardship of annual donors to the Bulldog Club.
The incoming Chair, beginning a two-year term, is Barb Sease. New additions to the Board include Joan Bindel, Tammi Blackstone, Nate Boulton, Ron Buel, Mary Edrington, Eric Boehlert, Julie Martin and Jim Noyce.
The purpose of the Bulldog Club Board of Directors is to plan, coordinate and facilitate events and activities for the Bulldog Club.
Here is a look at the new Chair and the eight new Bulldog Club Board Members:
Barb Sease is Chair of the Bulldog Club Board. She retired after 25 years as a paralegal with the law firm of McKee, Voorhees and Sease. Her husband, Ed Sease, is a 1964 Drake graduate and 1967 graduate of Drake Law School.
Joan Bindel is Development Director at the Diocese of Des Moines and a 2004 graduate of the College of Business and Public Administration with a Master of Business Administration degree.
Tammi Blackstone, AS’00, is an attorney at Gaudineer, Comito & George. She was a standout member of Drake’s women’s basketball team.
Nate Boulton is a partner at Hedberg & Boulton, and a 2005 graduate of Drake’s Law School and College of Business and Public Administration.
Ron Buel is a 1962 graduate of Drake’s College of Business and Pubic Administration and former president of the Drake University National Alumni Association. He is retired from Amoco Oil Company.
Mary Edrington is an Assistant Professor of Marketing/Marketing Fellow in Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration.
Eric Boehlert, AS’96, LW’99, was a member of the men’s golf team as an undergraduate.
Julie Martin is employed at Meredith Corporation. She and her husband Greg are the parents of Jill Martin (former Drake women’s basketball player) and Reece Uhlenhopp (current Drake men’s basketball player).
Jim Noyce is a 1978 graduate of Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration, and is a former Senior Advisor to the Athletic Director at Drake.
