Drake celebrates the tenure and promotion of 17 faculty members
The Drake University Board of Trustees recently approved the following faculty members to receive promotions and/or tenure:

• Megan Brown received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of English.
• Curt Cardwell received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of history.
• John Gitua received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of chemistry.
• Jeff Karnicky received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of English.
• Karen Leroux received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of history.
• Joan McAlister received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of rhetoric.
• Carol Spaulding-Kruse has been promoted to professor of English.
• Maria Valdovinos Loder received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of psychology.

• Dorothy Pisarski received tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of advertising.
