 Jean Cross receives recognition from IDLA |
IACON is Iowa’s premier distance learning conference and is sponsored jointly by the Iowa Association for Communication Technology (IACT) and the Iowa Distance Learning Association (IDLA). IACON brings together leaders with a broad range of specialties to provide a strategic overview of the distance learning landscape as well as a more tactical focus on individual hot spots within the emerging technology arena. Jean Cross, Online Instructional Designer, was recognized for her term and outstanding service as Conference Chair and IDLA President. Cross serves on the Statewide Online Council as a higher education representative and member of the advisory board. She developed a Human Relations course with Dr. Joan Kuraitis that was approved by the Department of Education for Iowa and Nebraska. She is in the first phase of development for an online bullying and cyber-bullying course. Kelly Read, Program Assistant for SOE’s very popular online courses, was elected to the IDLA Board.
