Hope Wood |
Hope Wood is a wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and now, law student. She decided to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer, choosing to attend Drake Law School and moving her family from Indianapolis to Des Moines just eight weeks after her first child was born.
Since beginning law school, Hope has successfully completed her 1L year, acquired an internship with the U.S. Federal Public Defender’s Office, been selected as a junior member of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, and just recently, e-published her book, “Law School Mom”.
Wood describes “Law School Mom” as a how-to manual for the first year of law school. “It goes from making the decision all the way through and talks about challenges and support,” Wood told the Des Moines Register. “The point is that it’s a ride for your whole family and you have to think holistically.”
