Drake is hosting the first ever All Pharmacy Reunion (APhR) April 29 – May 1 during Drake Relays. The reunion weekend centers on a theme of reflection, innovation and celebration, and is filled with tent events, campus tours, cocktail receptions and a continuing-education opportunity. This gathering will provide a healthy dose of fun, great memories and an opportunity to expand your professional network. Schedule of Events (subject to change)
Friday, April 29
(Shuttle buses will be running between the West Des Moines Marriott and the Drake University campus beginning at 3 p.m. and run every 30 minutes until 9:30 p.m.)
3 – 7 p.m.: Check-in at the reunion tent between Cline and Fitch halls
4 – 9 p.m.: Welcome reception with cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres in the reunion tent (Casual dress)
Saturday, April 30
(Shuttle buses will run between the West Des Moines Marriott and the Drake University campus every 30 minutes from 8 AM until noon, hourly from noon until 3 p.m., and every 30 minutes from 3 – 6 p.m.)
8:30 – 10:30 a.m.: Optional breakfast honoring Dr. Lon Larson at the West Des Moines Marriott (Not included in reunion package price; $25 per person, RSVP required as seating is limited)
9 a.m. & 3 p.m.: Campus Tours
10 a.m. & 2 p.m.: Tours of College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Facilities
11 – 11:50 a.m.: Sample Classes/Lecture
12 – 1:30 p.m.: Lunch in the reunion tent between Cline and Fitch Halls
7:30 – 10:30 p.m.: Reunion Reception and Program at the West Des Moines Marriott. Enjoy a cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres as well as the company of your classmates (Business Casual dress)
Sunday, May 1
2011 Diabetes Update will be held at the West Des Moines Marriott. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Collaboration Education Institute (CEI) are partnering to provide continuing pharmacy education to coincide with the reunion and the Drake Relays.
