Graduates of Iowa Certified Public Manager Program to present research

Twenty-nine graduates of the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program will present their innovative research projects on Wednesday, Dec. 15, beginning at 9 a.m. in Parents Hall South in Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave.

The series of five, one-hour presentations are free and open to the public. They will explore current issues in the public sector and demonstrate new and better ways of accomplishing the people’s business. Topics to be featured are:

  • New tools for performance management
  • Analysis of local voting methodologies
  • Innovation through employee action
  • Adapting law enforcement training to tomorrow’s workforce
  • Wellness programming

Graduates of ICPM who serve as managers in state, county or municipal government have completed a 300-hour nationally accredited professional designation offered through the State of Iowa and the Drake University Center for Professional Studies.
