Summer production to feature Drake faculty member, students and graduate

Karla Kash, Drake University assistant professor of
musical theatre, will direct and choreograph performances of “Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat” from July 8-19 at Tent Theatre in
Springfield, Mo.

The production also will feature Drake graduate Liz Ward and students Sam
Button-Harrison, senior, and Kenneth Matt Martin, sophomore.

Ward graduated this month with a bachelor’s degree in fine
arts and will play the role of the Narrator, while Harrison will play Reuben
and Martin will play Judah.

“Tent Theatre is in its 46th season this summer,
which is practically unheard of for any theatre,” Kash said.

Tent Theatre is a summer theatre company on the Missouri
State University campus. The company is now a part of the professional actors
union — the Actor’s Equity Association.

“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”
will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. Read more about the musical
