Current Constitutional Issues and the Functioning of American Democracy: A Debate

The fall 2019 symposium will highlight the new book Democracy and Dysfunction (The University of Chicago Press) by Jack Balkin, the Knight Professor of Constitutional Law and First Amendment at Yale Law School, and Sandy Levinson, the W. St. John Garwood and W. St. John Garwood Jr. Centennial Chair in Law at the University of Texas Law School. The book is a series of letters between the two scholars which debate current constitutional issues of significance to the functioning of American democracy.
