Drake welcomed more than 1,400 new members to the alumni network on May 14, following the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree commencement ceremonies held in the Knapp Center.

Beyond borders and gridirons
American football crossed a new international border on May 21 when the Drake University Bulldogs and CONADEIP All-Stars from Mexico met on a gridiron painted for the first time on African soil. The Bulldogs triumphed in the game, and worked together with their Mexican counterparts on service projects and summiting Kilimanjaro.

Schweinefus tees off in NCAA competition
Drake University student Cody Schweinefus fired a final-round 75 at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Colorado Men's Golf Regional held on May 21. He's the first Drake men's golfer to earn a spot in the regional competition since 2006.
