Terry Carley, PH’65, retired last year after 43 years as owner and head pharmacist at Carley Drug Co. in Avoca, Iowa. He and his wife, Julaine, have generously funded two scholarships for Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, serving students applying for or enrolled in the professional PharmD program.
- The Terry and Julaine Carley Endowed Scholarship provides financial assistance to a P3 or P4 student from the state of Iowa.
- The Terry and Julaine Carley Scholarship is awarded to a student who has earned an undergraduate degree from an institution other than Drake University and who is applying to the professional PharmD program at Drake.
“The generosity of alumni like the Carley’s will allow students the opportunity to attend Drake and pursue their dreams of a career in pharmacy”, stated Renae Chesnut, dean. “Having access to scholarships such as this will assure that the future of the pharmacy profession continues to be accessible to all students.”
